nigeria imaginary

Museum of West African Art. Digital Design, Content Creation, Communications Strategy, AR. 2024.

For the Nigeria Imaginary exhibition, presented by the Nigeria Pavilion at this year's Venice Biennale, I had the role of Branding and Marketing Lead with the Museum of West African Art. I developed and implemented a digital strategy that brought Nigeria's arts, history, and culture into focus through the thematic lens of the exhibition.

The Brief

In preparation for and following the event, I curated a broad range of content and experiences connecting traditional Nigerian elements with the practices of the eight commissioned artists. My strategy was to create a patchwork of varying missions across communications to promote the exhibition.

Digital Activations

Utilising the curatorial themes and artists’ works, I designed social media content that grew our digital audience through contests, learning opportunities, and augmented reality experiences. I also designed a range of digital assets, both still and animated, for use across digitals and various parts of the Venice Biennale. Collaborating with the popular magazine The Republic, I lead the communications strategy for an international cover competition.
